Acupuncture for animals

Thanks to the specialisation of Dr. Christian Pozzi, the veterinary clinic of Cernobbio is one of the few Italian practices able to offer an acupuncture service, a discipline of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
This method allows us to treat various painful and chronic diseases of the animal, significantly improving its quality of life and making it regain vitality and well-being.
Do not hesitate to call us for information and to immediately book a visit with the acupuncturist in our clinic on Lake Como!

What is acupuncture and how does it work?

Veterinary acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into precise points of the animal's body, with the aim of restoring the energetic balance of the animals, thus favoring a good condition of health. The acupuncture treatments are absolutely individual and personalized, because for the Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine every patient is unique, so the treatment plan is based on the type of pathology and on the general state of the animal. In general, to obtain the best results the most acute cases should be treated with close sessions, while the chronic ones need one or two treatments per week. Acupuncture has no side effects as no chemicals are administered.

The pathologies that can be treated with acupuncture

Acupuncture is able to treat various disorders and imbalances, such as musculoskeletal and locomotor disorders, heart disease, hormonal imbalances, respiratory disorders, behavioral problems and geriatric diseases. Furthermore, this discipline is also used to improve the performance of animal athletes.
Ask the vet how acupuncture can help your four-legged friend: it is a treatment that does not require medication, and is therefore recommended for animals of all ages.
